Oceanview cabins on Carnival ships can sometimes be bigger than inside cabins and even bigger than balcony cabins (when comparing their interior space). On Carnival Panorama, some oceanview cabins measure 185 square feet — the same as inside cabins. But there also are bigger "standard" oceanview cabins that measure 220 square feet and "deluxe" oceanview cabins that measure 230 square feet. Balcony staterooms were designed for maximum sea breeze and the most stunning views, so look to a balcony if you’re looking to cruise with a view aboard Mardi Gras.

The sofa in the extended balcony stateroom converted each night into a sleeper bed (not to be mistaken with a roll-out couch). When it comes to room amenities, the Interior Rooms come equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, and plenty of storage space. However, if you’re looking for more natural light and a view of the ocean, there are alternative room options available, such as the Porthole and Obstructed View rooms.
One of the best ways that you can save money on a cruise is by choosing an Inside or Interior room. Wherever on the ship you make your home base, good times aren't far.

We were surprised to see our stateroom could accommodate up to 4 people; it would have been very cramped in the cabin at full capacity unless the additional 2 guests were small children. While an inside room on a cruise might not be for everyone -- the lack of windows and compact size are certainly worth weighing -- there are plenty of reasons to consider booking one. Since I was only sailing on a three-night cruise, I didn't need much storage space for clothing. The description of my interior cabin said it was suitable for up to two guests and I agree.
